2019 update
[edit]What's new:
- Adding Women in Red project to the above header. WIR exists to turn red links into blue, expanding the coverage of women on Wikipedia.
- New method when adding nominations is Alpha within Year, rather than just a straight alphabetical listing. In that way, each new group of inductees can just be dropped into the top of the list, rather than the hassle of trying to interweave individual names into the entire list. Viewers can always sort by names or other columns.

Updates needed
[edit]I came here to look at Margaret Hawkins, and found her reference link broken - and it looks as if every single link has probably been broken, at some time since she was added in Nov 2021, by a change in the URL from .../womenshall/... to .../womenshallfame//... She is now at https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/educ/exhibits/womenshallfame/html/mhawkins.html, the earliest addition to the list is at https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/educ/exhibits/womenshallfame/html/tubman.html etc. Over to someone interested in this list to do a whole lot of updating (or to talk to the state archives and persuade them to revert the change?) I've updated the one link I came to see. PamD 17:59, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @PamD: the reality is that women's halls of fame go through periodical wholesale broken links, because the sponsoring entities change their URLs from time to time. All of them, in fact. A lot are tied into government linking of on type or another, or any other thing. And no one person, or project, in particular maintains these. — Maile (talk) 18:24, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Maile66 I posted in the hopes that someone who cares about this list might pick up on it. Perhaps all the vast number of US "halls of fame" are just ephemeral junk and have no place in our encyclopedia, if not even WP editors care about them? PamD 12:27, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
